Coincidences never cease to amaze me. This year is going to be "ready to imagine another world" both literally and figuratively for me and family. Cheers 🥂
I love reflective writing. I’m going through a transition myself. In the last week of packing, I found myself wanting more minimalism.
And remembering values and parts of myself that had been key to who I was at a time when I was younger, had no health issues, and almost every opportunity seemed possible.
Right now I’m in the middle of the transition. It’s challenging. I notice myself approaching the challenges with a new sense of adventure, a sense of fulfillment as I pass each challenge (almost like getting rewarded as you move forward on Super Mario Brothers) and more self compassion.
I’m excited to see how it plays out as previously suppressed values move to the forefront and new ones emerge that are more bring more peace, clarity, and alignment.
Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful reflection, Yvette. Love how you're approaching these new challenges with a spirit of adventure, as well as self compassion. Can't wait to see where this new journey takes you <3
"What if we imagined the type of world we would like to find on the other side of a magic portal, and then, worked backward to design how we might contribute to creating that world?" - such a palpable invitation into being and action. I read it as "what do we desire, what do we want and how will we create it?, rather than existing tendency to " how do we fix it?" - thank you Rebecca for "lightening the load" and demonstrating your experience of crossing the threshold. with appreciation :)
Thank you, Halla! Love that you read it exactly as I intended -- let's not just fix what's broken lets imagine something entirely new and then create/design it. Appreciate your comment and your ongoing support of aJAR -- grateful to have you in this community.
thank you for yesterday's CH conversation, it brought further clarity that "every door" is a portal, a moment to pause before entering, choosing what has to stay at this side, choosing what has to be carried with us to the other side , opening the door, and entering to a new space of experiencing from an integrated place of being ...
thank you for such a powerful invitation to be. 😌 and for a glimpse of a memory, a loving reminder, of a poem a friend shared with me more than 20 years ago… https://www.poetryfoundation.org/poems/43333/the-waking-56d2220f25315 ✌🏻❤️
What a beautiful poem -- thank you for sharing! xx
