The Great and Powerful Oz...
Power: What are you doing here?
People: We did what you told us…we would like you to keep your promise.
Power: Hmm, let me think.
People: If you were really great and powerful, you would keep your promises.
Power: Do you presume to criticize, you ungrateful creatures? You are lucky to get an audience with me at all.
Power: Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain.
People: Who are you?
Power: (lies to people’s face)
People: I don’t believe you!
Power: It’s true—I am not who you thought nor am I able to give you what you need.
People: You’re a very bad man.
Power: I am a good man, but just very bad at being power.
Power: Silly people, you already have the things you think you need. Forget that I lied to you—here are some trinkets, titles and awards that will magically give you the things you think you needed.
Power: (smiles a self-congratulatory smile)
People: What about my friend?
Power: (uncomfortable shifting from one foot to the other)
People: I need more than a certificate, not sure you can help me..
Power: You forced my hand—I need to take you myself.
People: Are you sure you can?
Power: I am AMAZING, I can do anything.
Power: Cut and run while naming new power.
People: Come back…come back.
Power: I can’t. I don’t know how it works.
People: Will you help me? Can you help me?
Wisdom: You already had the power all along.
